Hello! I'm Jamie Harriman, the artist and maker behind Hapilee Handmade.

A few years ago, on a trip to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, I watched an artist chainstitch embroider on a vintage machine — and it was love at first sight. I knew right then that I needed one of my own and would learn this beautiful art form.

I eventually tracked down a 114w103 Singer machine from the talented Elliot of LA Chainstitch, who refurbishes vintage chainstitch machines. I'm grateful to Elliot for his support as well as Amelia & Sam of Keeper in Boston and so many others for their inspiration as I embark on my own journey. It's a small and beautifully connected community of talented artists — and I'm glad to be part of it.
